Ripley, the sole survivor of the Nostromo, was discovered a century later, fast asleep in the wake of a rescue ship. When he returns to Earth, he discovers that a human colony has been established on the planet where aliens were first discovered. After encountering a lost colony, he is sent back to Earth with a group of heroes determined to destroy the alien menace once and for all and rescue any survivors (if there are any left).
