Jim Stark's family has just moved to a suburb of Los Angeles. He meets Plato and Judas, who he likes. Somehow he meets some tough guys who convince him to take part in their “Chickie Run,” which involves driving cars to the edge of a cliff. One of the other boys dies accidentally and he was Judy's friend. So Jim, Judy and Plato are forced to hide out in an old, abandoned mansion to hide from the police and Judy's boyfriend's friends, who believe that Jim reported them to the police.
