Carrie White, the teenage daughter of a religious fanatic, gets her first period in the school locker room shower and is so sexually unconscious that she feelslike she's bleeding. The rest of the girls cruelly tease her and throw sanitary pads at her before they are caught and punished by the teacher. The two girls then plan to make amends with Carrie in their own ways: - Sue Snell convinces her boyfriend Tommy Ross to ask Carrie to the prom; The second, Chris Hargensen, prepares Carrie's election as prom queen and then places a bucket of pig's blood across the stage to be dunked at the moment of thecoronation. What they didn't take into account was Carrie's telekinetic powers, which she now uses to exact sudden and terrible revenge.
