A young American dancer travels to Europe to join a famous ballet school. When he arrives, the camera focuses on another young woman who appears to be running away from school. She returns to her apartment, where she is horrifically murdered by a hideous creature. Meanwhile, the young American tries to settle in at ballet school, but hears strange noises and is disturbed by strange events. Eventually he discovers that the school is nothing more than a front for a much more sinister organization.
