One night, Julie Sawyer hits a beautiful white dog with her car and then nurses him back to health. One day, a previously friendly dog saves his life by brutally attacking and killing a rapist who broke into his house. Lucy discovers that the dog has been trained to attack black skin. She consults animal trainer Carruthers, who urges her to exterminate the dog. But Keys, an independent black trainer who had previously unsuccessfully tried to stop the training of these dogs, intervenedtimes.
