Rusty James is an aspiring businessman who laments the hard times in the gangs when his older brother, The Motorcycle Boy, ran the company as president of the Packers. Before his death two months earlier, Motorcycle Boy had banned gang warfare or “thunder” by contract. When Rusty James breaks his contract in an argument with Biff Wilcox and is seriously injured, his brother suddenly appears. As the “new kid on the block,” the distracted, delusional, and enigmatic brother appears to be obsessed and uninterested in his past.. Over the next few days, James's blind life seemed to fall apart; he loses his girlfriend, his friends, his self-confidence.The future surrounds James like a dark, unknown wall. Using Motorcycle Boy's example, he ultimately learns to free himself from the expectations of others and his own inner demons.
