Connor MacLeod is one of the few survivors of an immortal race that has struggled for centuries to be the last; thus reaching the ultimate light would be a disaster in the wrong hands. Immortals can only die by decapitation, so they hunt thethrough time and across continents to meet each other in each epic duel that will bring one of them one step closer to ultimate power. In modern-day America, the troubled hero MacLeod lives and has no life because he lost his true love centuries ago. The immortal evil Kurgan, who plans to use his powers to achieve unspeakable goals, has fought MacLeod before but is still trying to finish him off. After taking over a garage containing between three andundead, MacLeod realizes that only the Kurgan remain, and the two find themselves on an inevitable collision course. A number of recent films have starred Sean Connery as the immortal Ramirez, who teaches the MacLeod pioneers a lesson after recovering from a battle wound that causes the hero's terrified village to alienate him.
