Modern 'diggers' excavating are finding well-preserved examples from the past of a man, woman and child. What the scientist and his two assistants don't know is that he is a vampire who is only attracted to the smell of paper clinging to his forehead. While the baby is being taken to the buyer, the poison is released and the baby vampire escapes and befriends some local children. Eventually the parent vampires also wake up and escape, but in the meantime the plant farmer is on his way to destroying them.
