In the third sequel to the hit comedy Police Academy, Commander Lassard decides that the police force is overstretched and understaffed, and comes up with the idea of recruiting civilian volunteers to work with his officers. Of course, with the unfortunate Carey Mahoney in charge of training the new Neighborhood Watch groups, it's reasonable to expect that things won't go as planned; Meanwhile, the hypocritical Captain Harris notices Lassard's position and plans to get rid of his old boss.
