Rollo Treadway, a spoiled young millionaire, wakes up one morning and decides to marry his sweetheart and sail for Honolulu, that very day. Unfortunately, Betsy O'Brien turns him down. So Rollo decides to go alone, but boards the wrong ship -- "The Navigator," owned by Betsy's father -- at the same time that Betsy wanders aboard and anarchist spies set the 500-foot giant adrift. For a while, the two silly rich people each think he or she is utterly alone on board. Eventually, they meet, learn to take care of themselves, Rollo goes diving and battles a swordfish and an octopus, and they make landfall at an island inhabited by savage cannibals.
