The stagecoach travels from Tonto, New Mexico to the remote village of Lordsburg, carrying a diverse group of passengers. Dallas is a woman with a scandalous past who was driven out of town by powerful local women. Lucy Mallory is the wife of a cavalry officer stationed in Lordsburg and is determined to be with him. Hatfield is an outspoken card player who claims to be "protecting" Lucy, although he appears to have romantic intentions. DR.Buck is a stagehand and Sheriff Wilcox is at his side to protect him and keep an eye on Ringo the Kid, a notorious bandit who has just escaped fromprison. While Wilcox finds Ringo, a man of principles who surrenders without a fight, the real danger lies beyond, where a group of Apaches led by Geronimo could attack at any moment.
