The action takes place in Paris in 1910. After high-society cat Duchess and her three kittens inherit a fortune from her mistress, a greedy butler plans to get rid of them and collect the money himself. An evil servant kidnaps the entire cat family and kidnaps them from their comfortable Paris home. But a group of animal lovers comes to the rescue and helps put the cats back in theplace they deserve. The heroic rescuers include the friendly street cat Thomas O'Malley, the courageous mouse Roquefortand the funny dogs Lafayette and Napoleon.
