In the mid-1960s, Benjamin Braddock, a disoriented college graduate, is pulled in countless directions by his wealthy family, friends and colleagues just days after graduating. Ben is seduced by the alcoholic and neurotic Mrs. Robinson, an old family friend and wife of his father's business partner, and continueshis affair with the married woman, although he falls in love with her daughter Elaine. However, Ben and Elaine's attempts at love are threatened by the vicious rage of Mrs. Robinson, who hastily arranges Elaine's marriage to someone else, leading to one of the most memorable endings in film history.
