Grease, the film adaptation of the popular musical, is an idyllic portrait of high school crushes and 1950s cool. Danny and Sandy share a summer romance and believe it will end when they start school. But Sandy transfers to Rydell High School, where Danny is the leader of the Leather Jacket T-Birds. His "toocool" attitude is put in jeopardy when he finds out Sandy is a cheerleader and tries not to show his true feelings. The two decide to make the other jealous, and with the help of the"Pink Ladies", led by the witty Rizzo, Sandy finally manages to win Danny back.
