Philip of Macedon achieved nothing with his various wars against Persia and other Greek states, but when he entrusted the regency of Parrah to his son Alexander, the young enthusiast took action. Convinced from an early age by his mother Olympias that he is indeed God, Alexander fulfills his destiny by uniting Greece under his war flag and establishing himself in the impossibly larger Persian Empire under the leadership of the proud Darius. On the way, he discusses his fate with Barsine, the daughter of the Athenian traitor Memnon from, who led her small army at Darius' side. Alexander's goals are certainly noble, but his pride allows him to betray his own family and compromise his principles in the process.
