Melanie Daniels, spoiled socialite and notorious prankster, is shopping at a San Francisco pet store when she meets Mitch Brenner. Mitch wants to buy a pair of turtledoves for his little sister's birthday; He recognizes Mélanie, but pretends to take her as his assistant. He decides to return the favor by buying some birds and traveling to the quiet beach town of Bodega Bay, where Mitch spends weekends with his sister and mother. Shortly after her arrival, Melanie is attacked by Seagull, but this is just the beginning of a series of attacks from a growing number of birds.
