Princess Yuki Akizuki (“Yukihime” in Japanese) must be guided through enemy territory where she can rebuild her kingdom with the gold she has in her caravan. She is aided by her trusted general, Rokurota Makabe, who insists that she pretend to be a mute farmer. Two servants, Tahei and Matashichi,unknowingly help, believing that if they help the princess achieve her goals, they will get a gold coin.
