Jean-Paul is an unemployed writer who is in a relationship with Marianne, a successful journalist. While having fun by the pool in St. Tropez, Harry receives a call from the label manager. He comes with his young and mature daughter. Harry and Marianne were lovers and he flirted with her.Meanwhile, Jean-Paul flirts with Harry's daughter. After drinking, Harry and Jean-Paul getinto an argument, which results in Harry being pushed into the pool. Jean-Paul refuses to help a man in distress as he drowns in this sometimes masochistic French film, and a young couple struggles to explain his story to avoid murder charges.
