Ryunosuke is a sociopathic samurai with no compassion or scruples. When he is scheduled to take part in an exhibition match at his fencing school, hisopponent's wife begs Ryunosuke to cancel the fight, offering her own virtue in the profession. Ryunosuke accepts her offer, but kills her husband during the fight. As time passes, Ryunosuke is pursued by the brother of the man he killed. The brother trains under the guidance of the swordsman Shimada.In the meantime, however, Ryunosuke faces hostility from the group of assassins he works with, and the question arises as to who will face him in the final conflict.
